Happy 51st Independence Day, Malaysia
Or shall we say.. Merdeka, in our language? 31 August 1957 marks the start of our nation's independence from all previous invasive forces. This year's Merdeka is pretty lame, hardly any cars sporting a flag on their roofs. I didn't even know it was Merdeka until fireworks boomed outside while I was reading Gizmodo.
